About Us:

Double Diamond Wilderness Trails is a small full time outfit that delivers a quality and successful hunting experience. Each and every client is guaranteed a great time and 150% effort from us. I, Jeremy Hatala, personally attend each and every hunt to ensure your hunting experience will be a dream come true. I have been a full time guide/outfitter for 16 years and have had the privilege of guiding in the Northwest Territories, British Columbia, Alberta, Mexico, Tajikistan, & Siberia. These experiences have allowed me to develop a business that is second to none. While most outfitters focus on quantity, we at Double Diamond Wilderness Trails, focus on quality. Our goal is to have each and every hunter harvest the animal of their dreams. Our Whitetail Rifle Hunts are 6 or 10 days and are held during the peak of the rut in November.

What makes us unique:

Over the past ten years our whitetail deer have averaged in the 155" class with some exceptional deer reaching the 185" mark. Whether you prefer to spot & stalk, use calls, ground blinds, tree stands, or the comfort of the pickup truck, we leave it up to you to decide on how you would like to hunt. We offer six or ten day Archery Mule Deer & Whitetail Deer Hunts in WMU 224 or 332. Each of these WMUs produce top end Mule & Whitetail Deer scoring between 140" B&C and 185" B&C on average. Although these deer are not real wide they are very heavy and extremely tall. Spot and stalk produce the best results for the Mule Deer while Treestems are used to hunt the Whitetails. Trucks & ATV's are used to get you to the various areas. These hunts are conducted from our home, and take place during September/October.

About our trips:

Join us along the famous Athabasca River for an unforgettable Black Bear Hunt. This country is bearadise and with a a high density of black bears each hunter is allowed to harvest two bears. We operate during the month of May and there is only 4 hunters in camp per week. Camp consists of wall tents & wood stoves with 2 hunters per tent, hot showers, and fabulous home cooking. This is a bait hunt using archery, muzzle loader, rifle, or cross bows and all stands are situated 15 yards from the bait site. If you do not shoot a bear we do not make money, we WILL put you on a trophy bear!!!!!The Ultimate Predator Hunting Experience. Jeremy Hatala of "Double Diamond Wilderness Trails" and B.C. Outfitter Abe Dougan of "Big Boar Outfitters" have joined forces to offer the Ultimate Predator Hunt in 2007. Join us along the eastern slopes of the Majestic Rocky Mountains of Alberta. It is here, we will hunt Wolves and Coyotes over established baits from heated ground blinds. Hunters will be delivered to there remote heated ground blinds via skidoo or quad. Leading up to the bait site will be miles and miles of scented skidoo trails which allow the wolves easy traveling in the deep snow.
