Bittern Lake Lodge operates migratory bird hunts from September 1 to October 30. We hunt the famed prairie pot hole country of Alberta Canada.
Many guests on our migratory bird hunts say it is the best hunting experience they have ever had. Our lodge is located right in the middle of prime nesting habitat for mallards, pintail, widgeon, gadwall and red head as well as canvas back and Canada Geese. In September these locally raised birds start our early season hunts with exceptional numbers; as the season progresses the fall migration provides our hunting area with a well balanced variety of migratory birds to supply our hunters with great gunning over potholes for ducks and in barley and pea fields for both ducks and Canada geese, speckle bellies and all the far north birds migrate through our hunting area for more fantastic gunning.
We also have a clay target thrower with 2 stations for shooters to sharpen their skills. Send us an email or phone for available dates and rates.
