Marco Polo Sheep hunting and Ibex hunting does not get any better than our hunt in the Tajikistan, Pamir Mountains. Ameri-Cana Expeditions are leaders in this field and would like to have the opportunity to help you achieve your goal of harvesting a Marco Polo sheep. Our outfitter is a pioneer Hunter of Tajikistan. He is a local, and unlike all other outfitters that hunt all over the ex-Republic of Russia, he hunts only in Tajikistan.
Ameri-Cana Expeditions Inc. has been offering this Kamchatka Brown Bear hunt since the spring of 1998. We have been taking hunters here successfully since then. We are the experts in our field and experience does count! The hunt takes place in the North west region of Kamchatka. At this time of the year the ground is covered by approx. 3-5 ft. of snow. The temperatures range from 20ƒ in the night and reach 50ƒ during the heat of the day. Transportation during the hunt is done on Snowmobile and sled. Searching for tracks and glassing mountain hillsides searching for bears is the technique used to hunt the Bears. The size of the Kamchatka Brown Bears compares closely to that of Alaska Brown Bear, with a bigger average size bear taken in Kamchatka than in Alaska. Our average is between 8.5 and 9 feet. With this average we have also taken some Monster Brown Bears (10 ft. +). This hunt is very suitable for the seasoned hunter who is not necessarily in top physical shape, as most of the hunting is done on snowmobile and sled. Spotting and Stalking is generally done from the sled. While you are not on the sled, snowshoes are a must to get around any later in the day than 12 noon, as the snow becomes too soft to hold your weight up.
Outfitter has a success rate of well over 90%, and with some work from the hunter you should be able to collect one of the finest trophies in the World. Hunters must remember that hunting in Russia is a different experience than hunting anywhere else in the world. Due to standard of living as compared to North America and the remoteness of the area and food differences this is not always as comfortable as other hunts around the world that you may have been on. These adversities make for an adventure in itself.
