Columbia River Fishing - Columbia River fishing guide for the Columbia River, Lewis River, Wynoochee River, Cowlitz River, and Buoy 10. Catch Sturgeon, Steelhead, and Salmon with Washington fishing guide Captain Jerry Brown.
January, February, and March we target winter steelhead. We target the run on the Cowlitz but not limited to that river. With fish running in the 5 to 15 pound range its time for some great fishing. June and July brings warm summer days and more "steelies" to be caught. Summer fish tend to be more aggressive and acrobatic than their winter brothers. Set the hook and watch one tail walk then take off up stream, down stream, under the boat and tail walk again. When finally netted and brought on board, its time to hold it up proudly and take that picture you want to show everyone. Come November and December, it's time for the start of winter runs again. There is also a Coho or two that show up also, so a limit of both is not out of the question.
