About Us:

Venture North Outfitting (VNO) is located in central Alberta, Canada. Based near Edmonton, we at Venture North Outfitting (VNO) invite you to come enjoy a waterfowl hunting adventure of a lifetime. We live for wingshooting! Located in the heart of the flyway action, our area boasts some of the finest field shooting and pothole habitat on the mid-west prairies. As our guest you'll enjoy outstanding hunting and Canadian hospitality as it's meant to be.

What makes us unique:

Our hunting area is surrounded by patchworks of farmland comprised of peas, alfalfa, barley, wheat and canola. Giant Canada geese, mallards and pintails are abundant in our area and are our primary focus. During your hunt, you may also have the opportunity to hunt other species such as specklebellies, lesser Canadas and snow geese as well as a variety of other ducks. Located smack dab in the middle of the flyway action, hunters commonly enjoy the opportunity to limit out each day.

About our trips:

VNO offers 3-day or 6-day full-service waterfowl hunt packages including outstanding meals, exceptional lodging, full guide services, and top-notch equipment. Ammunition and bird cleaning services available on site.

Our history:

Venture North Outfitting is owned and operated by Kevin Wilson. A professional outdoorsman and award-winning outdoor writer with an obsession for gunning ducks and geese, he was born and raised in the Edmonton area. With 26 years of field experience, Kevin has taken most North American game using archery, muzzleloader, rifle and shotgun. To his credit are many trophy whitetail deer, mule deer, black bear, and waterfowl. Kevin is also a member of the Avery Outdoors Pro-Staff team.
