About Us:

It would be hard to find better Walleye fishing or lakes with bigger Northern Pike than with a fly-in fishing trip to one of our remote outpost camps. Our lakes are stuffed with tasty Walleyes and Monster Northern Pike. Guests consistently report catching close to 100 Walleyes in a day as well as many Northern Pike exceeding 20-pounds. Our remote fly-in fishing cabins are clean and comfortable and fully equipped with everything you need for your fishing vacation. We also offer resident Moose hunts and non-resident Black Bear hunting in the spring. Our Black Bear Hunters enjoy a very high success rate as well as having a chance to harvest some of the biggest bears found in Canada.

What makes us unique:

Kitchi Island Outpost Camp is located about 50 air miles from Matheson Island. The camp is on a point of land at the mouth of Flour Channel, one of the arms of the Berens River that leads to Flour Falls. The lake is 3 miles long by 2 miles wide and has a rapid entering the lake and 2 sets of waterfalls leaving the lake and the continuing river system. There is over 12 miles of river to fish and explore and the angler can access Horseshoe Lake as well.

About our trips:

The pristine area of Canadian Shield and mature stands of conifer and deciduous forest is home to multiple species of big game and the waters around them are home to BIG fish and lots of them. Walleye and Northern Pike are the major species here but the angler will encounter sauger, perch, goldeye and crappie as well. This was the first season since I have owned the camps, that a bear hunt has been offered. Kitchi Island Outpost and Embryo Lake Outpost have been hunted in the past. Longhaul Lake Outpost has never been hunted. The spring hunt was outstanding with all our hunters having opportunity. One of the notable kills this spring was a huge bear taken by Jack Thurner of Akeley MN. His bear rough scored at 19 1/2 P & Y, a trophy in anyone's book. We estimate the bear weighed over 450 pounds. He measured 80 inches from nose to tail and 76 inches paw tip to paw tip.

Our history:

All outpost camps include: • Privacy- the facilities at each site are the only ones on the lake! You and your party will have exclusive use of the camps. • Cabin completely equipped with propane refrigerator, cook stove and BBQ, wood heater, pots, pans and dishes. • One aluminum boat with outboard motor for each 2 or 3 persons, including paddles, padded swivel seats and mixed gasoline. • First aid kit.
