About Us:

Welcome to Caribou Lodge Outfitters, home of some of the best hunting and fishing in Canada. Located in Grass River Provincial Park, Caribou Lodge Outfitters offers hunting and fishing the way it was meant to be. Unspoiled and protected for the past 100 years, this region signifies the beauty of wilderness to be enjoyed in Manitoba, Canada.

What makes us unique:

Near the community of Cranberry Portage, Caribou Lodge Outfitters is located on a private 10 acre peninsula on First Cranberry Lake. We have ten cabins within steps of the lake with all the comforts of home and then some! Equipped with individual beds, full hot and cold running water for showers and toilets, the gas heating system takes the chill off the northern nights. A gas stove and full refrigerator is also available in the cabins, as well as individual barbeques.

About our trips:

Visiting Caribou Lodge Outfitters gives you the opportunity to fish five lakes without a portage. Located on First Cranberry Lake, the other four lakes, Second Cranberry, Third Cranberry, Elbow, and Simonhouse, combined with the 12 miles of Grass River the fishing is simply a life altering experience. The freshwater, clear northern lakes are literally teeming with trophy-class Lake Trout, Northern Pike, and Walleye. Our Black bear population in terms of numbers and size is as good as anywhere in Northern Canada. Our hunting area is roughly 360 square miles in northern Manitoba. As we are located in the Pre Cambrian Shield, our area is comprised of lakes, rivers, muskegs and rock outcrops. It only has one road that runs through it and has very little human activity. None - during the spring bear season. This area has had no hunting pressures in the last 5 years.

Our history:

Late evening has its bonuses, beginning with the on site dining room that offers a restaurant style menu to choose from. After an evening cocktail to unwind with while telling the “catch of the day” tales, the northern lights dance across the peaceful sky, reflecting on the glass-like reflection of the lake, you can’t help but feel fresh and rejuvenated for the upcoming fishing dream that the following morning turns into reality.

Trips Offered:

Black Bear Hunting, Manitoba Hunting, Ice Fishing, Pike Fishing, Walleye Fishing, Manitoba Fishing, Lake Trout
