About Us:

Wapoos Sibi, a beautiful and easy 4 1/2hour drive north of Montreal, is one of Quebec's best kept secrets. A private fishing and hunting reserve until several years ago, it has been meticulously maintained and offers the Sportsman a unique experience. As it was a thousand years ago, the fish still lie in pure crystal waters, and the Moose and Bear roam primeval boreal forests. Wapoos Sibi is an established and licensed Outfitter with an exclusive territory of 65 square miles and 35 lakes, all interconnected by rivers and Trout streams.

What makes us unique:

For the more independent and adventurous, we maintain several Outpost Cabins, perched on pristine Trout lakes in the woods. These are a 10 to 20 minute drive from the Main Camp, so you are always within access but still very private. All Outposts have running water, full bathrooms with hot showers, propane fridges and stoves, and are fully equipped with cooking and serving equipment. All cabins have a deck with a BBQ that overlooks the lake. On this plan, you will bring your own food and do your own cooking, as well as bring a sleeping bag.

About our trips:

HUNTING: Wapoos Sibi is Moose and Bear country. Moose up to 1400 pounds and bears to 550 pounds have been taken. Our kill rates are unusually high since we maintain exclusive rights on our territory, and we have a "zone" hunt. Each zone is the private reserve of only 2 hunters and are 10-12 square miles each. This makes for a very safe and undisturbed hunt. FISHING: Speckled trout: All 35 of our lakes contain this beautiful fighting fish, some of which may grow to 7 pounds. Lake Trout: These massive beauties can grow to 42 pounds at Wapoos Sibi, Some have been caught on the Fly, or deep trolling with downriggers. Walleye: Several of our lakes, and some fast water is where you will find some very serious Walleye, that can go fifteen pounds and more! Pike: This "heavy hitter" can be caught on almost anything from spoons, crank baits and even bucktails on a fly rod, The first several runs are very exiting, since these fish can grow to 45 pounds at Wapoos Sibi.
