Bison or Buffalo? It is the same animal. The technical name is "American Bison". When the first settlers and mountain men happened upon the great bison, they didn't know what they were and for lack of a correct name they called them Buffalo. The name stuck and today most people refer to beautiful animals as such.

We had the time of our lives! We were able to go on a bison hunt on Lake Bonneville Bison Ranch this last weekend, Nov. 22, 2008. Lambert had two beautiful bulls that he had raised for us. The accomidations were wonderful. The animals were in great shape and well taken care of. We took a huge group and they were able and willing to accomidate all of us. We had a great time!! We are looking down the road to our next hunt with Bonneville Bison Ranch! Thanks Lambert and Anne, you made a dream come true!

You will find that Lambert and Anna Duston are fine people, hosts & friends. They seem to love their pampered, and well-fed, bison as much as any house pet - I think they even know them by name. The buffalo hunting experience is clean and very enjoyable, and the food afterward is unmatched - I can't say enough about Annas perfect bison chili recipe.
